OVERVIEW
Iraq's largest refining complex before it was devastated in the 2014-15 war with ISIL; the state North Refineries Company (NRC) rebuilt and reopened the Baiji North Refinery in February 2024 after a decade-long shutdown, restoring processing capacity to about 150,000 b/d. The wider Baiji complex (North + Salahuddin I/II units) has a combined nameplate capacity cited at 310,000 b/d, not all of which is confirmed back in service.
